Close configuration options

The method by which the close group is closed is configured once (by your service provider) when the system is installed (in the configDesc (configDesc) table). Depending on the system configuration, the close group can be closed in one of three ways:

• Date and Time

  The system closes the data based on the date and time specified.

• Date

  The system closes the data based on the date and the Field Device Contract Hour of each meter in the close group.

• Date and Output Profile

  This is similar to closing on date, as it’s based on the date and the Field Device Contract Hour of each meter in the close group. However, it also looks at the output profile of the meters. For end-of-period meters, the field device Contract Hour is used, but this time is backed up by one day.
