Missing parameter check

The Measurement system detects when fields required for data calculation are missing.
For meters, this check is performed on the following fields:
|
Meter type |
Parameters assessed by the Missing Parameter Check |
|---|---|
|
Pulse meter |
|
|
Orifice meter |
|
|
Corrector meter |
|
|
Coriolis Meter |
|
For meters, the missing parameter check properties allow the selection of Partial Data or No Data for the missing parameters.
-
When configured for Partial Data, the missing parameter is estimated using the configured estimation method. What is recalculated depends on the metering method in use:
-
For Coriolis meters and meters using API 14.4, only volume and energy will be recalculated
-
Pulse, Corrector, and Orifice meters not configured as API 14.4 will calculate volume, energy, and mass
-
For Pulse and Corrector meters, when the only missing parameter is flow time, the estimated row is not recalculated
-
-
When configured for No Data or if all the data fields are missing, the entire record is regarded as suspect and flagged as such, and the entire record, including the missing fields, will be estimated.
-
When the data is estimated, the following occurs:
-
The system marks the row's data quality with "No data available", in addition to indicating in both the data quality and edit state that there was an estimated row resulting from an instance of partial data or no data
-
The system creates a problematic context record, identifying the row as estimated.
-
Data rows that are recalculated due to the estimation of an individual field will be considered as estimates for aggregation and balancing.
-
Analysts will be able to accept re-calculated data rows due to the estimation of an individual field or modify the individual fields with a manual edit.
-
For gas quality (GQ), the Missing Parameter Check checks to see if any of the following parameters are missing: heating value, specific gravity, CO2 and N2. If the GQ is attached to a GQ estimation object, the system uses that method to estimate the data. If the GQ is not attached to an estimation object, no estimation will be performed.
