Add a meter/gas quality (GQ)

  1. Under Available on the Connected Items for Measurement Point window, select the measurement point you want to add.

  2. Select Connect.

    The Point/Object Connection Information dialog appears.

  3. When selecting the Effective Date Time and Expiry Date Time:

    • Select to select the desired year.

      The on the left will list the years prior to the currently selected year, and the on the right will list future years.

    • If you want to scroll back or forward by one month, select on the Calendar dropdown menu and use for back and for forward.

    • If you want to scroll back or forward by one year, select on the Calendar dropdown menu and use for back and for forward.

    • Selecting Gasday will allow you to use the field contact datetime of the Current Gas Day.

    • Selecting Last Connection will show where the most current connection begins.

    • Selecting Next Connection will show the date/time where the current connection expires.

  4. Select the desired Connection State. The following table outlines the Connection State options.

    Item

    Description

    Active

    The device's connection to the measurement point is active.

    Blinded

    The device's connection to the measurement point is temporarily suspended, and polling is disabled for this point. Incoming data will be rejected.

    Commissioning

    The device's connection to the measurement point is commissioning. Polling continues, but any downstream operations are disabled.

    Retired

    The device has been permanently disconnected from the measurement point. Any incoming data will be rejected.

    Shut-in

    The device's connection to the measurement point is temporarily suspended. Polling continues, but any downstream operations are disabled.

    Stand By

    The device's connection to the measurement point is active but data is not expected. Polling and downstream processing continues.

  5. Select Okay.

    If you tried to connect the following:

    • First meter.

    • First gas quality (GQ) (measured analysis).

    • First GQ (zone analysis/zone quality).

      Then the meter/GQ disappears from the list of Available measurement points and appears in the Connected list.

  6. Select Okay.

    If you have tried to connect a second meter, measured analysis, or zone analysis to the measurement point, then the Connect Point Warning dialog appears.

  7. Select OK to return to the Connected Items for Measurement Point window.

  8. Select Okay.
