If your metering device gathers accumulator data

Some metering devices use an accumulator to gather metering information. When an accumulator is used by the metering device, however, the information that the device supplies is not gathered on an hourly or daily basis, but is rather deduced by calculating the following:

Current Volume Accumulation - Previous Volume Accumulation

This provides the system with the delta, or amount of change, that the meter has undergone during the time period since the last calculation. At a certain point, accumulator devices 'rollover', or reset to the defined starting point. Measurement is capable of interpreting accumulator data associated with the following metering devices.
