The data is estimated from the time period that is active in the date scroll. If the date scroll is set to a date five months in the past, the data will be estimated from that time period. It is important that the proper time period be set in the Historical Timestamp Override window before enabling the Missing Data Check and Linear Interpolation.

To turn the missing data check on and off

  1. From the Meter or Gas Quality (GQ) Summary, right-click on your desired meter or GQ, and then select Properties from the action menu.

    The Properties window appears.

  2. Using the date scroll, define your time period.

  3. Navigate to the MTR Estimation or GQ Estimation Connectivity section, and ensure that an estimation type is selected.

  4. Navigate to the MTR / GQ Missing Data Check section, and select Enable and Enable Linear Interpolation.

Note: Enable Linear Interpolation applies to meters only.

  5. Select Save.

You are prompted to provide an Adjustment Reason.

  6. Select Close.

You will be directed back to the summary window.

  7. Right-click on the same meter or GQ, this time opting to select Historical Timestamp Override.

The Historical Timestamp Override window appears.

  8. You will need to fill in dates for the field that corresponds to the estimation granularity configured. The following fields are available for selection:

    • Last 15 Minute Read (Meters only)

    • Last Hourly Read

    • Last Daily Read

    • Last Monthly Read (Meters only)

    • Missing 15-minute Check (Meters only)

    • Missing Hour Check

    • Missing Day Check

    • Missing Month Check (Meters only)

Note: The dates listed for the Last Readings need to be greater than the ones listed for the Missing Data Checks, otherwise your entries will not save. If your last readings were taken on October 24th, 2012, the date set in the Missing Data Checks needs to be before October 24th, 2012.

  9. Select Save to save the changes to the Historical Timestamp Override window.

  10. Select Close to return to the summary.

  11. Right-click on the same meter or GQ, this time opting to select the Data Editor from the action menu.

    The Data Editor window appears.

  12. Using the date scroll, select the date you previously defined as the start of the Missing Data Check.

The Data Editor refreshes to reflect the selected date.

  13. If there are no rows for the particular time frame, you will have to insert a New Missing Row at the start of the particular date range so that the system can calculate the estimations.
