Properties for Gas quality (GQ) : zone analysis tab
- Last UpdatedNov 20, 2025
- 3 minute read
This tab is used to define the Gas Quality (GQ) Properties that are used to determine if a gas quality should be automatically downloaded to a meter.
For this tab to be visible, the Analysis point type must be set to Zone Analysis. These properties define the deadband tolerances used for the automatic download of the gas quality information.
For more information, refer to the AVEVA Pipeline Operations for Gas documentation, as well as the The connection between AVEVA Pipeline Operations for Gas and AVEVA Measurement Advisor section in the SCADA Interface chapter of this document.

Section |
Item |
Description |
|---|---|---|
|
Zone Analysis |
Master history granularity type |
Select to define the history granularity of the GQ data that will be downloaded. |
|
Automatic Download |
Enable automatic download |
Select to enable automatic download to an associated meter Note: The associated meter must also be configured for automatic GQ download, if it is a orifice, pulse or corrector meter. |
|
Allow Estimated History |
Select to enable estimated history. |
|
|
Download deadband (%) |
Type a value to enter the overall download deadband information. When any component exceeds this percentage difference between current and previous analysis, a download will be initiated. |
|
|
Download Real-Time only |
Select to download information from SCADA only. Note: Enabling this setting will prevent Measurement Advisor from sending gas composition changes to SCADA. This means that only data that is processed within the gas quality record in the RealTime database will potentially be downloaded to the field.. |
|
|
BTU Deadband |
Defines the deadband tolerance associated with heating value. |
|
|
SG Deadband |
Note: Enabling this setting will block the download of the GQ data to the SCADA system. Defines the deadband tolerance associated with specific gravity. |
