AVEVA™ Measurement Advisor

Download gas quality (GQ) check

  • Last UpdatedSep 24, 2024
  • 2 minute read

The Download Gas Quality (GQ) Check compares the downloaded Zone Quality to the Measured Analysis for differences. All non-null measured analysis components are tested, as the measured analysis sometimes reports only a subset of the downloaded zone quality.

Embedded Image (65% Scaling) (LIVE)

  1. The Data Source sends the zone quality to AVEVA Measurement Advisor.

  2. AVEVA Measurement Advisor downloads the zone quality to all the meters in that belong to that zone.

  3. Each meter uses the analysis to calculate the volume and energy.

  4. The Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) sends the analysis back to AVEVA Measurement Advisor as Measured Analysis.

  5. AVEVA Measurement Advisor will then compare the uploaded measured analysis to the zone quality. If the Downloaded GQ Check fails, the data quality of the meter record is invalid or flagged, and a Problematic Context for Meter window is generated.

  6. If the Measured Analysis is NOT equal to the Zone Analysis within a defined tolerance, the Downloaded GQ Check fails. The data quality of the meter record will be invalid or flagged, and a problematic context is generated.

  7. MQ-and ZQ-colored icons on the Data Editor window indicate different states of the MQ and ZQ.

The values that can be configured to be checked are: heating value, specific gravity and the component fields.

Automatic Replacement of Data

You can con the system to automatically replace volume and energy with host calculated values using the Zone Quality if the Download GQ check fails. The data quality of the replaced record is INVALID or FLAGGED, and the system generates a problematic context record. You then can accept or reject the replaced records, or configure the meter to automatically accept the replaced data.

Automatic Acceptance of Replaced Data

You can con the system to automatically accept the replaced volume and energy. The data quality of the automatically accepted replaced record is ACCEPTED and the system does not generate a problematic context record.
