Prepare to import data into the Cloud database

Moving the data into the Cloud database from external sources can be performed in one of two ways:

• Migrating content from an existing on-premises database using the MeasDataLoader tool.

  Before using the measDataLoader tool, you must:

  • Prepare to obtain your CONNECT access token

  • Generate a CONNECT service access token

    Note: You do not need to perform the encryption procedure when using MeasDataLoader.

• Importing external data into the Cloud database using the File Import tool.

  Before using File Import tool, you must perform the procedures in the upcoming subsections:

  • Configure the secret protector

  • Configure MeasDataProtectorSettings.json

  • Prepare to obtain your CONNECT access token

  • Generate a CONNECT service access token

  • Encrypt the CONNECT service access token
