To configure your meter to collect accumulator data
-
Follow the instructions created in Create a new meter.
-
Select one of the following Metering Methods:
-
Orifice meter
-
Pulse meter
-
Corrector meter
-
Manual meter
-
-
Select the Accumulator Meter checkbox.
-
Enter the Accumulator Rollover. This should be the maximum value that can be returned by the metering device. The units associated with the rollover value will match the units being calculated as defined by the Input Unit Profile.
-
Note: The resultant calculations displayed in the Meter Data Editor are displayed in the Unit Profile that you have defined on the User Options: System Preference tab.
-
Depending on the nature of the information that the accumulator supplies, you can have the system recalculate some of the values and use the values calculated from the accumulation where appropriate. A few examples are:
-
If you have a pulse or corrector meter that receives uncorrected volume from the accumulator, and you wish to use this value to calculate the pulse count, then you will need to set the Pulse count calculation policy to Calculate PC from UV.
-
If you have a pulse or corrector meter that receives both uncorrected volume and pulse count as an accumulation, and you want to have these values calculated from the accumulation, then set the Pulse count calculation policy to None.
-
If you have a meter that receives volume as an accumulation value, and you want to calculate the energy, set the Telemetry calculation policy to Recalculate energy.
-
If you don't want Measurement to recalculate the values and instead want the volume, energy, uncorrected volume, and pulse count calculated from the accumulation values, then set the following:
-
Telemetry calculation policy = None
-
Recalculation policy = None
-
Pulse count calculation policy = None (This is applicable to pulse and corrector meters only.)
