For easy navigation, the properties are divided into tabs (for example, Meter, Meter Validation). Each tab contains numerous properties logically grouped by a column header.

Note: Your system may also have been extended with additional properties.

For easy configuration, the various Properties windows contain a combination of text boxes, buttons, dropdown lists, and checkboxes.

Through a Properties window, you can perform the following:

  • Enter a value/name.

  • Open a variety of other windows/dialogs from which you can select a desired date, Area of Responsibility (AOR) Group, meter, and other options. For example, selecting an AOR Group opens the Connected Items window. To see an example of this window, see Connectivity configurations.

  • Select an option from a dropdown list.

  • Select a check.

  • Use Find functionality. Enter and enter a string and the system finds the first property that contains that string. Pressing Enter prompts the system to find the next property that contains that string.

  • Access other windows and dialogs.

  • Select a particular date range for viewing using Date Scroll. To change the date range displayed, you can do one of the following:

    • You may use the arrows to navigate between the previous and next effective date. This will allow you to quickly navigate between past configuration changes and configuration changes set to occur in the future.

    • You may double-click on the date to change the time period from the Select Date Range dialog.

  • Press the Esc key before saving to undo your last change.

Note: "Save As" is available for all object types. Cascading save as is available in the Measurement Connectivity window.
