Configure the Z Ratio Unit Profile ID
This procedure is not mandatory for all installations. Follow this procedure if you want to account for different compressibility at different base conditions when viewing in a particular unit profile.
Prior to migrating the data from an on-premises database to the cloud database as described in Import the data using measDataLoader, it is important to ensure that Z ratio is set as configured in the on-premises database. Otherwise the data may not migrate as expected.
Standard base conditions for the calculations are:
-
base pressure = 14.73 PSI
-
base temperature = 60ºF
The Z ratio is calculated to convert between the standard base conditions used in AVEVA Measurement Advisor and a different set of base conditions.
This can be configured in two ways, depending on the base conditions set in the Internal Storage unit profile:
If the Internal Storage unit profile has the standard base conditions (14.73PSI/60ºF):
-
Set CD_ZRATIO_UNIT_PROFILE_ID to the ID of a unit profile configured with the base conditions that you want the Z ratio to be calculated for.
-
The Z ratio will be calculated to enable converting between the standard base conditions and the base conditions of the configured Z ratio unit profile.
If the Internal Storage unit profile has base conditions different from the standard base conditions (14.73PSI/60ºF):
-
Set CD_ZRATIO_UNIT_PROFILE_ID = 1. This is the ID for the Internal Storage unit profile.
-
The Z ratio will be calculated to enable converting between the base conditions configured in the Internal Storage unit profile and unit profiles with the standard base conditions (14.73PSI/60ºF)
Any other configuration will set the Z ratio to 1.0.
