About pressure limits' dependency on unit profiles and the meter pressure reasonability check

Note: The way that the MTR Pressure Reas Chk Pressure Type setting is configured determines the units (Absolute or Gauge) in which Pressure limits are saved to the database.

On Validation Limits screen, units for pressure values will be displayed as PSIA or PSIG, based on the selected unit profile.

When displaying the pressure values, the client will take both the selected unit profile and the MTR Pressure Reas. Chk Pressure Type setting into account.

If you are viewing your validation limits in a unit profile that is different from the one configured in the Validation Limits on the Meter Validation tab, the following section will guide you through how the system will behave.

If your Unit Profile is set to...

If your MTR Pressure Reas Check Pressure Type is set to ...

The pressure limits displayed in the Validation Limits window will be...

Absolute

Absolute

Pressure is displayed in Absolute. No conversions are required.

Absolute

Gauge

Gauge values in the database will be converted to Absolute to display on the screen.

Gauge

Absolute

Absolute values in the database will be converted to Gauge to display on the screen.

Gauge

Gauge

Pressure is displayed in Gauge. No conversions are required.

Similarly, the system saves pressure limits in the database based on the MTR Pressure Reas Check Pressure Type setting and the selected unit profile by doing the appropriate unit conversions.
