Connect an object

  1. Select the objects you wish to connect and select Connect.

    The Balance window appears.

  2. Select Edit.

    The Balance Edit window appears.

  3. Select the desired object under Available.

  4. Select Connect.

    The Balance Connection Information window appears.

  5. Select the Effective Date Time and the Expiry Date Time.

    • Select to select the desired year.

      The on the left will list the years prior to the currently selected year, and the on the right will list future years.

    • If you want to scroll back or forward by one month, select the Calendar dropdown list and use for back and for forward.

    • If you want to scroll back or forward by one year, select the Calendar dropdown list and use for back and for forward.

      The Last Connection button on the Balance Connection Information screen shows where the most current connection begins. The Next Connection button shows the date/time where the current connection expires.

      For example, the original connection took place between 08/10/2015 09:00 A.M. to 01/15/2038. A new connection was later created for 08/12/2015 at 09:00 A.M. to 01/15/2038. In the Connect History, the original connection would be recorded as 08/10/2015 09:00 A.M. to 08/12/2015 08:59:59.

  6. Enter the Multiplier value (either a positive number to add, or a negative number to subtract).

  7. Select Okay.

    This name of the connected object appears under Connected if the date and time of the Balance Connectivity window falls in between the assigned effective and expiry times.

  8. Select Save.

    Note: The connected object is added to the appropriate connected list. The connection is valid from the specified effective time to the specified expiry time.

  9. Select Close.
