Set up validation

In the first section of the Properties window for a validation, there is a field for Gas Qualities (GQ) or Meters. Select the following icon () next to the field.

On the Associated Objects window, select Edit.

A list of connected and available objects that are available for selection appears.

Do one of the following:

• Highlight your chosen available meter or GQ and select Connect.

• Alternatively, you may double-select your chosen meter or GQ.

  The gas quality appears in the Connected column.

To connect another GQ or meter to the validation object that you have created, do one of the following:

• Highlight and select Connect.

• Double-click another meter or GQ in the Available column.

There may be other options to be configured in the first section of the Validation Properties tab, potentially including the Number of periods, the Period Frequency, and the Severity.

Next, it is possible to set up the appropriate validation checks. To enable a particular check,select the Enable checkbox and define the appropriate Tolerance and Threshold.

Note: Pressing the Esc key before saving will undo your last change.

After you have finished setting up the properties, select Save.

You are prompted to set an adjustment reason.

Select Close.
