About the rounded original total

  • Last UpdatedSep 23, 2024
  • 1 minute read

The Rounded Original Total will help you to visually reconcile the meter data that was used to calculate the station balance with the calculated station balance.

The Rounded Original Total calculates the Total Volume and Total Energy for the data shown for the meter. It is calculated by rounding the Volume and Energy values in each summary row and then summing those rounded values.

Understanding how the values are calculated will help you to better interpret the information shown by the Rounded Original Total.

  • The way the Rounded Original Total is summed is the same as the Round then Sum rounding rule available when calculating the station balance. Using this rounding rule for the station balance will provide the best match when reconciling the data.

Note: The Round then Sum rule is the only Rounding Rule that is supported by the Meter Data Editor.

  • The precision used is based on the User Options' Precision Profile. It should be set to the same precision profile as the Balance Precision Profile when comparing the meter data to the station volume data.
