Approve or reject adjustments

  • Last UpdatedOct 28, 2025
  • 2 minute read

After reviewing an adjustment, you can approve it, reject it or leave it for later review.

If you leave an adjustment, it remains in the Prior Period Adjustment (PPA) Approval window. Approved and rejected readings are removed from the PPA Approval window upon saving. For more information about viewing approved readings, refer to Approved prior period adjustment (PPA) summary.

Notes: Because versioned PPAs are not approved automatically, it is possible to have more than one pending adjustment for a reading, assuming the reading references a value for a given meter at a given time. When you approve an adjusted reading, all other pending adjustments for that reading are automatically rejected.

If you wish to edit an adjusted value, you must first accept the current adjustment in the PPA Approval window. You can then edit the value through the Meter Data Editor window, and approve the newly-adjusted value through the PPA Approval window.

To approve or reject adjustments

  1. Select the desired adjustment record in the PPA window.

  2. To set an allocation month that the PPA will apply to, select a time period from the Allocation Month dropdown menu.

The allocation month will be hidden from view if Accounting Close is enabled.

  3. Select Set or Set All depending on whether or not you would like the Allocation Month to apply to one or all of the PPAs.

  4. Right-click on the selected row and select the desired action (Accept, Reject, or No Action).

    • To approve the adjustment, choose Accept.

    • To reject the adjustment, choose Reject.

    • To leave the adjustment open for approval, choose No Action. The action you choose appears in the Action column. See the Prior Period Adjustment Accepted window.

  5. Select Save.

  6. Select Close.
