Adjustments to measurement readings can be divided into the following categories:
In-Period Adjustment
An in-period adjustment is made to measurement readings from an accounting period that is not yet closed. All of the in-period adjustments to the data do not need approval.
Pending Prior Period Adjustment (PPAs)
When changes are made to the closed meter data, they are set aside for approval before becoming part of the audit trail for the data. These are known as Pending PPAs. When they are approved by someone with the proper authorities, they will become PPAs. The 'Meas PPA Approval' permission is required to approve PPAs.
