Third party meter

The Third Party Meter User Entry window allows you to manually enter Volume, Energy, Heating Value, Pressure, and Temperature data for third-party meters. Information can be added daily or monthly, but only the daily information is stored. In order to designate a meter as a third party meter, you must have selected a Metering method of Manual Meter and a Data Source of Third Party Meter.

You can elect to have the system automatically calculate energy from the heating value and volume information you've entered by selecting Calculate Energy.

The Energy is calculated as follows:

If Calculate Energy is left unselected, you can enter energy and volume information and the system will calculate heating value.

The Heating Value is calculated as follows:

The information can be entered at a daily or monthly granularity.

  • If you wish to enter third-party meter data at daily granularity, refer to Enter daily data.

  • If you wish to enter third-party meter data at a monthly granularity, refer to Enter monthly data.
