Consider the following example:
Problem: You want to understand how many meters had validation problems last month.
To create a PivotTable that demonstrates how many meters had validation problems last month
-
From the Problem Audit Summary in AVEVA Measurement Advisor, create a filter that gathers the following information:
-
Date range that you want to analyze (for example, filtering for the last month of data).
For more information on filters, see Filters.
-
-
Export the Excel file. For more information, see Export measurement data.
-
Create a PivotTable as described in Create a PivotTable from the exported data.
In order to create a PivotTable that will demonstrate how many meters had validation problems in the last month, you would configure the following scenario.
Selecting the following fields from your Problem Audit data, you will be able to determine how many of your meters had validation problems last month:
-
Problem Class
-
Type
-
Name

The selected fields will then need to be dragged in to the appropriate area. Consider the following:
-
Problem Class and Type will be dragged into the Rows area.
-
Name will be dragged into the Values area, and will be used to provide a count of the meter records with validation problems.
Note: By default, Values will display a count of the values entered in the Values area, but it is recommended that you check to ensure that the correct count is being reported.

You will receive an output pivot table like the example shown below, with the results appearing in row C10. The content in row C10 indicates how many Validation problems occurred for Meters.
