It is possible to configure contacts who will receive emails upon success or failure of a file import task.
To receive emails about file import results
-
Follow the instructions in Contact to configure a contact.
-
Navigate to the File Import Summary.
-
Do one of the following:
-
Create a file import task.
-
Highlight the row header of the file import task for which you wish to receive notifications.
-
-
Select Connect Contact.
Note: This option will be unavailable for selection if no file import task has been selected.
The Connect Contact window appears.

-
From the list of Contacts, select the desired email recipient.
-
Select the occasions on which email notifications should be sent. The options are as follows:
-
If Retrieval Failure is selected, an email will be sent if the file import retrieval failed.
-
If Archive Failure is selected, an email will be sent if the file import archiving failed, or if the file import archive deletion failed.
-
If Parse Failure is selected, an email will be sent if the file import parsing failed.
-
If Parse Completion is selected, an email will be sent if file import parsing was successful.
-
If Exceed Retrieval Tolerance is selected, and the time range between the first failed retrieval (after the last successful retrieval) and last retrieval exceed the time tolerance, the failed file retrieval notifications will be sent. The tolerance time is configured using the Retrieval Tolerance field in the File Import Properties dialog.
Note: If the retrieval tolerance check is selected and is configured to be a shorter time than the scheduling of the File Import task, an exceed tolerance notification will be generated for every execution.
