The Object List+ rule is designed to allow you to search through an already-created object list for a particular set of criteria. This section is designed to illustrate the specific requirements for the Object List +.

To configure a new object list using the Object List+ rule

  1. On the Object List Summary window, select New > Criteria.

  2. Select Global.

  3. Select the Organization checkbox.

  4. Enter a Name.

  5. (Optional) Enter a Description.

  6. Select a value for Type.

This value is ignored by AVEVA Measurement Advisor.

  7. For the Rule, select Object List+.

  8. Select a Matching value for the Object List+.

Is Null and Is Not Null are not available for selection if Object List+ is selected as a rule.

  9. Select a Value.

The values listed will be a collection of all previously-created object lists.

  10. Select a Conjunction.

Selecting a Conjunction allows you to refine your criteria to create a search query that, if described verbally, would read "I am searching for information from this Object List that meets the following criteria..."

The object list displayed in this figure contains the following values:

    • First row:

      • Type: Meter

      • Rule: Object List+

      • Matching: Matching

      • Value: OrMeterPlus - In this instance, an object list was selected that was likely to contain the desired property. Values available for selection will be the object lists your company has created.

      • Conjunction: And

    • Second row:

      • Type: Meter

      • Rule: Property - Meter General - Field meter number

      • Matching: Matching

      • Value: 236

  11. Select Save, and then select Build to yield one result, METER3, as shown in the "Results of Object List Build" figure.

Opening the properties for METER3 reveals that the Field meter number is 236, as searched for by the Object List+.
