It is only possible to connect one backup GQ at a time. You must disconnect the GQ point that is already connected (by selecting Disconnect) before proceeding. As this is a date-time sensitive property, you will be prompted to select the date-time range to which the disconnection applies.

  4. To select a GQ as a backup GQ, do one of the following:

    • Double-click the desired row. The GQ/GQ Connection Information window will appear.

    4. For meters that are connected to a GQ with a Backup GQ, you can define the Backup GQ Recalculation Policy in the Meter Properties under Meter Analysis. If the Meter Analysis Recalculation Policy is set to None but you want the system to recalculate for the backup, then the Backup GQ Recalculation Policy should be set. This recalculation policy is only used during the time that the Backup GQ is in effect if the Meter Analysis Recalculation Policy is set to None.

After the Properties are configured, the results can be viewed in the Meter Data Editor. Backup GQs are identified in the Meter Reading tab of the Meter Data Editor by a blue icon (). For more information, refer to Items on the meter data editor: Meter Reading tab.

    5. Double click on the day with backup GQ data in the Graphical Meter Summary. The data will open in the Meter Data Editor and will behave in the following way:

      • The data from the backup gas quality point will appear on the Zone Analysis tab if you have if you have specified a backup GQ for the zone analysis. If a backup GQ is in use, the Backup GQ column will be set to Y.

      • The data from the backup gas quality point will appear on the Measured Analysis tab if you have specified a backup GQ for the measured analysis. If a backup GQ is in use, the Backup GQ column will be set to Y.
