If you have the appropriate permission level, you can close meter readings through the Close Group Summary window, provided that the following are true:
-
All meters within the close group are eligible for closing.
-
There are no outstanding problematic context records (for the period being closed) associated with the active and stand-by meters that are associated with the close group.
-
There are no pending, versioned adjustments that were posted in the current accounting period that pertain to readings from a prior period. For more information about Prior Period Adjustments (PPAs), refer to Prior period adjustment (PPA).
-
When you perform a Close Selected Groups action, the system analyzes all active and stand-by meters that are associated with the close group, and will detect any outstanding problematic context records (for the period being closed) associated with these meters.
If you try to close a group and the above criteria are met, the selected groups will be closed and the Close Group Information window appears. However, if you try to close a group and these criteria are not met, the close command will fail and a Close Group Failed window appears. You can either:
-
Correct the errors, and then close the close group.
-
Override AVEVA Measurement Advisor and close the close group, despite the problematic context records.
