About the data storage location's metering history option

The Data Storage Location you define allows you to provide the location to store online balance calculation results. If you select Metering History, the imbalance results will be stored at the meter level for the meter with the same name as the station. Accordingly, this gives you the opportunity to apply all validation checks to the station's total values. The data is transferred to a meter, and meter validation is performed, as the station does not perform all of the same validation checks.

To properly configure the Data Storage Location's Metering History option

In order for this to work correctly, your meter and station must be configured in the following way:

  1. In the Properties for your Measuring Station, select Metering History as your Data Storage Location.

  2. In the Station Properties for the station, select Calculate daily, Calculate hourly, and Calculate 15-minute, depending on the primary history granularity.

  3. In the Meter Properties for the meters feeding into the Measuring Station, in the Meter History section, select the Enable daily aggregation and the Enable hourly aggregation, depending on the primary history granularity.

  4. Create a new Balance Calculated meter with the same name as the Measuring Station in addition to a new Measurement Point.

  5. Connect the new meter to the new Measurement Point.

  6. Enable the same aggregation options for the new meter.

  7. The data will now be saved at the Balance Calculated meter level.

With these settings, it is possible to perform validation at the meter level. To do so, navigate to the Meter validation tab of the Meter Properties window.
