The procedure below will guide you through the process of creating a PivotTable from the data you've exported from AVEVA Measurement Advisor's Problem Audit Summary.
If you would like to gather data that is stored elsewhere in AVEVA Measurement Advisor, using a Microsoft SQL query to gather the data may be more appropriate. For more information, refer to the AVEVA Measurement Advisor Developer documentation.
To create a PivotTable from your AVEVA Measurement Advisor data
-
Select the data that you have exported from AVEVA Measurement Advisor, including the headings.
-
On the Insert tab, in the Tables group, select Pivot Table.
-
On the Create PivotTable dialog, check that the selected Table/Range reflects the data that you have exported from AVEVA Measurement Advisor.
-
Under Choose where you want the PivotTable report to be placed, select New worksheet to place the PivotTable in a new worksheet or Existing worksheet and then select the location you want the PivotTable to appear.
-
Select OK.
-
Select the fields you would like to display in your PivotTable on the PivotTables Fields pane by selecting the checkboxes.
-
Designate each of the selected fields based on how you would like to see them displayed in your PivotTable by dragging the field into the correct area.
Note: Excel categorizes data in the following way: non-numeric fields are added to Rows, date and time hierarchies are added to Columns, and numeric fields are added to Values.
