For more information about user and role assignment, refer to the AVEVA Measurement Advisor Administrator documentation.

Note: You will not see the AVEVA Measurement Advisor tiles or corresponding downloads unless you have a role associated with the AVEVA Measurement Advisor service for the tenant.

To install the components

  1. Sign in to CONNECT.

  2. Select the AVEVA Measurement Advisor tile below the folders.

  5. Before unzipping (extracting) each file, make sure the zip files are not blocked. To do so, do the following:

    1. Right-click the zip file, open Properties.

    2. If it is blocked, select Unblock.

  6. Extract the file to the location of your choice.

  7. Open PowerShell as an Administrator.

Note: If you don't have Administrator privileges, ask your Administrator for the needed credentials.

  8. Navigate to the directory where the required AVEVA Measurement Advisor package(s) were extracted.

  9. For each extracted component, run the following command:

    .\Setup.ps1

Note: The setup script needs to be independently run for each component package.

    1. If you receive an error message indicating that the Running of scripts is disabled on this system, run the following command: Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned.

    2. If a security warning displays, enter R to continue.

  10. When prompted with: Enter Select or Deselect followed by a Feature name, Enter to continue, Ctrl+C to exit.

  11. Press Enter to continue.

In this case, you do not need to enter a feature name, as there is only one MSI per component.

  12. On completion, press any key to continue.

The desktop shortcut icons for the clients will appear on your desktop.

Note: The components required by File Import to run successfully do not need a desktop shortcut.
