This section describes the functionality available from the panel command.

Panels are created in a zone selected as current element (CE) prior to the use of the subfunctions below. If the zone is defined with reference to a space, then all panels will get bounded by the geometry of this space.

Plane |
Create panel in plane. Pick a grid position or select any of the optional ways to define the location plane of the panel.
The Offset option adds the given offset to any selected grid plane. By default a plate will be added to the panel. The option Omit plate will suppress the creation of a plate. When the planes are accepted, panels are generated and displayed. Repetition Terms Panel location can also be created using repetition terms. Syntax for repetition is <start> <step> <end> <optional offset> as illustrated below:

Surface |
Create panel in surface. Pick the surfaces or key in the surface names. The selected elements are highlighted in the canvas. Accept the selected surfaces and the panels are generated and displayed.
By default a plate will be added to the panel. The option Omit plate will suppress the creation of a plate. When the selected surfaces are accepted, panels are generated and displayed. |

Arrangements |
Creates panel from functional area arrangements. Pick an area arrangement of scantling type then click Accept or select Curve Arrangement of Profile Trace type and / or Area Arrangement of Openings type.
