Creates copies of part of the model and offsets each copy from the previous one by a specified distance in a specified direction.

To specify the offsets as being the same as those between two existing design items, use the Offset functionality to measure the required distances. Use the available functionality to specify the type of element you want to measure from and the type of element you want to measure to.
Select the required options from the Offset pane of the Copy with Offset window and when prompted, pick the two points between which the offset is to be measured. The calculated distances is entered in the Offset X,Y,Z text boxes automatically.
Click Apply to create the three offset copies, you are prompted to confirm if you want to retain the copies (if it is correct in the graphical view).
The Model Explorer now displays which elements have now been created and where they fit into the hierarchy.
Note:
When copying individual columns or beams, any connections and joints present in the
original elements are automatically removed from the new elements. When copying an
entire framework, connections and joints defined between sections in the new framework
are not removed.
