Add Excel Tables

Adds a Microsoft Excel table to a drawing.

Select the required Excel file from the window and click Open

You are prompted to Specify the centre point or <By corner and scale>

A ghosted preview of the Excel table displays at the cursor.

Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or click to identify the location for the center of the Excel table.

You are then prompted to enter the Scale <1>

Input a value in the field and press Enter to define the scale factor. Alternatively you can move the cursor away from the insertion point to increase the size of the Excel table or move the cursor closer to the insertion point to decrease the size of the Excel table. Click to define the scale factor.

You are then prompted to enter the Rotation angle <#deg>

Input an angular value in the field and press Enter to define the rotation angle. Alternatively, you can move the cursor around the center of the Excel table to visually select the required angle. A ghosted preview of the image rotates to reflect the angle. Click to define the rotation angle.

The Excel table is added to the drawing.

Throughout the process of adding the Excel table to a drawing you can press ESC to cancel the command. Additional functionality is also available.

By corner and scale

Press the down arrow key and select By corner and scale to insert an Excel table with a specified corner point.

You are prompted to Specify the left down corner.

Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or click to identify the location for the bottom-left of the Excel table.

The Excel table can then be scaled, rotated and positioned.

Back

Press the down arrow key and select Back to undo the last action.

The new EXTIMG element displays in the Draw Explorer containing an ARCHIV element and an EXTDAT element. The EXTDAT element contains an ARCHIV element.

To modify the Excel table, double-click on the table to open Microsoft Excel.

You can make changes to the Excel table and save the file. The table on the drawing canvas is automatically updated.
