Sets the view limits by supplying coordinates that define a 3D box.
View limits can bet set to draw the contents of a specified volume of the 3D model. The limits are defined as project coordinates, and are represented by the size of the view frame at the selected scale, although view frames and limits boxes can be unlinked. The view frame can include match lines with text that displays the coordinates of the view limits. If not otherwise set, the limits default to 0 0 0 and must be set either manually or using the Set from drop-down list.
Note:
2D drawing sheets can be populated using the 3D view of the 3D model within Draw. Refer to The 3D View for further information.

Input dimensional values in the From and To position fields to define the limits of the view explicitly. Refer to Coordinates for further information.

Set from |
The Set from drop-down list allows you to define the view limits using a specified source. |
|
Drawlist |
Select from the drop-down list to set the limits of the view to the extremities of the drawlist members. The From and To fields are populated with the coordinates derived from the drawlist elements. |
|
Elements |
Select from the drop-down list to set the limits of the view using two picked elements. You are prompted to Identify the first Design Element for the From limits Click to identify the first element of the view limits. The From fields are populated with the coordinates of the selected element. You are then prompted to Identify the second Design Element for the To limits Click to identify the second element of the view limits. The To fields are populated with the coordinates of the selected element. |
|
Copy from view |
Select from the drop-down list to set the limits of the view using a picked view. You are prompted to Identify the VIEW that you wish to copy limits from Click to identify the view. The From and To fields are populated with the coordinates derived from the selected view. |
|
View volume |
Select from the drop-down list to set the limits of the view using the view bounding volume. The From and To fields are populated with the coordinates of the axis aligned bounding volume. |
|
View Frame |
Click to lock the view frame to the limits box for a limits-defined view. A blue background indicates that the view frame and limits box have been locked. Changing the view scale adjusts the view frame size accordingly. Click again to unlock the view frame from the limits box for a limits-defined view. A white background indicates that the view frame and limits box are independent of each other. Changing the view scale does not adjust the view frame size. The example indicates a view frame and limits box that are independent of each other. The outer line is the view frame and match lines have been turned on to indicate the extent of the limits box.
