XML Schema

The AVEVA Pipe Stress Interface Package (PSI) creates an xml file which is converted into data for one or more external pipe stress software systems. The default software system is CAESAR but it also supports other software systems that support the CII file format. The XML data represents the AVEVA E3D Design model in the form of a series of nodes which represent the piping route and all of its components.

The PSI reads the XML file and produces a CII file for further processing. The following sections describe the format of the XML file and how it represents the AVEVA E3D Design model.
