Handrail Connections

Templates used in handrail components can refer to the connection reference on the component. This allows the creation of dynamic handrail components which change depending on the design context.
A property can be defined to access the component connection reference.
Note:
The Key and Description can be modified.

The example is for a Post Template (HRPOST) element. Properties can be defined for other components:
-
Panel (HRPANE) elements
-
Gate (HRGATE) elements
-
Terminations (HRTERM) elements
Properties of the connected elements can be accessed through the CONREF attribute. For example, the expression ( ATTRIB RPRO DPTH OF CONREF OF HRPOST ) evaluates to the depth of the connected section of a handrail post.
Example templates are available in the APS project in template world /Sample_Welded_SLH_Templates. The sample templates use rules which are available in /Welded-Post-RLSET.
