Purpose

The following aims to provide guidance to the users of AVEVA E3D Design on how to best use the various 3D model Import/Export tools.

This includes:

• An overview of the various tools available and which tools are best suited for a model, for example when to use which tool

• Scalability expectations and recommendations, what model size/complexity that can be imported, how this may affect the performance of the application, as well as how to work around this for larger models

• More specific guidance on how to best prepare models for import and how to best use each tool.
