Rules with Sub-Rules

If the result of a rule is a reference to another rule element, it is executed, and the result of the sub-rule is returned by the rule.
Any number of sub-rules can be executed in sequence to find the final rule value.
Note:
The RVALUE element which contains the sub-rule must have its purpose set to RULE to
enable this function.
Functionality is available to insert, copy, delete, move, and export RLOGIC elements.

Insert New Logic |
Adds a new RLOGIC element at the same Level as the currently selected logic. |

Insert New Sub-Logic |
Adds a new RLOGIC element which is owned by the current RLOGIC element. The Level of the new logic is one higher than its owner. This option is disabled if a value is entered in the Result column for the current logic. |

Copy Logic |
Adds a new RLOGIC element at the same Level as the currently selected logic and copies all sub-logics and expressions. |

Delete Logic |
Deletes the currently selected RLOGIC element, and all sub-logic elements owned by it. |

|
Move Up |
Moves the currently selected RLOGIC element, and all sub-logic elements owned by it, up the order in the logical expressions grid. |

|
Move Down |
Moves the currently selected RLOGIC element, and all sub-logic elements owned by it, down the order in the logical expressions grid. |

|
Excel Export |
Exports the logical expressions grid to Excel. |

Search |
Searches for a database reference to use in the Result column. The functionality is only available if the result is expected to be a database reference type. Refer to Search for further information. |
