Rule Checker

Use the Rule Checker part of the Rule Manager window to test rules outside of their proper context.

The rule checker is split into two sections. The parameters grid displays at the top, and the results grid displays at the bottom.
Rows in the parameters grid are populated by finding unique expressions in the logical expressions grid. Each parameter can be given a value, which is used by the rule checker to evaluate the rule and find a result.

Displays the item value selected in the logical expressions grid. |

Parameter |
Displays the parameter value selected in the logical expressions grid. |

Option |
Select Single to specify a single value for the parameter. Select Range to specify a minimum value, maximum value and increment for the parameter. The functionality is only available for numerical parameters. |

Value |
Specify the value to use for the parameter when checking the rule. |
|
Min Value / Max Value / Increment |
Specify a range of values to check multiple scenarios simultaneously with the rule checker. |
Click Run Rule Checker to execute the rule with the current values from the parameters grid. Results along with parameter values are displayed in the results grid. The chosen result for each set of parameters is displayed in the first column.
