Create and Apply Local Hatching Rules

Creates local hatching rules and applies them to items in the view drawlist, overriding the selected discipline specific rules for those items.

Click to identify the currently selected view as the working element. |

Views |
Select the view for the sheet from the drop-down list. |

Rules |
Select a hatching rule from the list. |
|
Create |
Allows you to create a hatching rule. Click to display the Create HRUL window.
Input a name for the new rule in the Name field. Click OK to add the rule to the Rules list or Cancel to discard any changes and close the Create HRUL window. |

Delete |
Click to delete the currently selected hatching rule from the Rules list. |
|
For |
Allows you to specify the items that the rule is applied to. Select the Menus option button and select the elements the rule is applied to from the drop-down list. Select the Names option button and click Modify to display the Names window. Refer to Create and Apply Local Rules for further information. |

With |
To apply qualifying restrictions to the elements specified in the For section, input an expression in the With field. For example, if the For section specifies Branches, the following can be input: (HBOR GT 100) AND (TBOR GT 80) meaning 'Branches with HBOR greater than 100mm and TBOR greater than 80mm'. |

Style |
Select the check box to associate the hatching rule with a representation style. |

Styles |
Select a representation style library from the upper drop-down list. Select a style from the lower list. |
|
Display |
Displays a graphical representation of the selected style from the lower Styles list. |
|
Attributes |
Allows you to define the hatching rule attributes. Refer to Hatching Rule Attributes for further information. |
Click Apply to apply the hatching rules or Cancel to discard any changes and close the Local Hatching Rules window.
