Graphical Explorer Limitations

Some functionality is currently not supported for use with the Graphical Explorer window. Some options are disabled when the Graphical Explorer view is current.

• Home tab, Selection, Create and Modify groups.

  The graphics for each element in the Graphical Explorer view are rendered from a graphics cache using AVEVA Rendering Framework (ARF) and cannot currently be modified graphically using CIE or model editor.

  • Copy & Paste

  • Paste

  • Copy Offset

  • Copy Rotation

  • Copy Mirror

  • Editor

  • Move

  • Rotate

  • Stretch

  • Mirror

  • Painter

• View tab, Settings group.

  The ARF caches are built from a fixed set of representation rules so changing them is not possible. The following options are disabled:

  • Graphics Drawlist

  • All Views

• View tab, Clip group.

  Clipping functionality is available in the Graphical Explorer view but capping is not supported for ARF rendered elements. If the Graphical Explorer view contains both ARF and non-ARF elements, only the non-ARF elements are capped.
