Defines or modifies auto-naming rules.

Key |
Displays the current auto naming rules. |
|
Scan Level |
Determines the top level in the hierarchy for the element rule must start from for example world, dept, regi. |

Rule Name |
The name of the rule which is used as a reference to its respective Element Rule. To change the rule name, click on the down arrow beside the Rule Name text box and then select the rule name from the displayed list. |

Description |
Gives the description of the naming rule. |
|
Format |
Defines the format for the name. You can use a PML expression to call a function or method, which can then ascertain attributes from the drawing to use in the construction of the name. |

Indices |
Assigns the maximum number of significant figures to the naming rule. |
|
Cut |
Removes the numbering rule from the list. |
|
Copy |
Makes a copy of the rule and inserts it into the above fields. |
|
Replace |
Replaces the current rule with the modified version. |
|
Insert |
Places the new rule into the current list. The drop-down menu allows you to specify where the rule is placed within the list, select Before or After. |

Key field |
Displays the current auto naming rules. |
|
Data filed |
Displays all the attributes for the selected rule. |
|
Test |
Tests the naming rule on the current element. If successful it returns a constructed name, if the rule is not valid to the element then a warning message is displayed. |

Use Rule |
The Rule attribute in the Element Rule is tested on the current element. |
