Split Rails

Splits a rail (or rails) where it physically intersects with another element in the 3D model and causes a conflict. For example - a handrail/kickplate pathway is barred by a wall or pipe.

By default, the Clearance of the split rail is 0mm and the Cut Plane check box is selected.
If required, input a clearance for the ends of the rail(s) into the Clearance field.
In the application, the cut plane orientates the ends of the rails(s) to the plane direction (which is perpendicular) after the rail(s) have been split.
Split Rails on Element
To split the rail using an existing element in the 3D model, from the Split Rails window, click Split Rails on Element, you are prompted to Pick the element on which to split the rails/kickplates.
Once the element is picked in the 3D view, the rails/kickplates are split by the selected element.
Split Rails between 2 points
To split the rail between 2 points in the 3D model, from the Split Rails window, click Split Rails between 2 points, you are prompted to Pick rail or kickplate to split.
Once the rail/kickplate is picked in the 3D view, you are prompted to Pick split position (Distance [0]) Snap: The selected rail/kickplate is split between the picked points.
