Inventory Volume

Inventory volume is used to collate all of the items within the room, calculate the air volume and surface areas of the room. Once the calculations have been made, basic reporting functionality is available.
To calculate a inventory volume for a selected room, make sure that the room is the CE in the Building Applications window. From the Applications window, click Create the Create Inventory Volume window is displayed.
To create a new Inventory Volume element make sure a Room element is selected in the Building Applications window. On the BUILDING tab in the Create group, select Inventory volume from the drop-down-list to display the Create Inventory volume window.

The application automatically populates the Name field with a name based on the project or company autonaming rules.
By default the Use gaps in naming sequence and Ignore overlapping element adjustments checkboxes are selected.
These calculations do not take into account the fact that elements may overlap each other. This can result in air volumes that are less than the real value. If this is likely to be significant, the user can deduct these overlaps, click to clear the Ignore overlapping elements adjustments checkbox.
Note:
This may considerably increase the time taken to do the calculation.
To include an allowance for the volume piping insulation in the calculation of piping components and tube, click to select the Include insulation in volumes check box.
To use a comma instead of a decimal point, click to select the Export comma for decimal checkbox.
If required, enter a Face tolerance in to the Face tolerance field.
Click Apply to create a new Inventory Volume element, the Modify Inventory Volume window is displayed and the Inventory Volume (AREADE) element is displayed in the Building Applications window and in the Applications window. for further information on the Modify Inventory volume window, refer to Modify Inventory Volume
Click Dismiss to discard any inputs and close the Create Inventory Volume window.
