Position Output Formats

Marine users do not use the ENU (East North Up) coordinate system. Instead they use the ship reference coordinate system or the XYZ format to describe the position of 3D model objects. The same coordinate system is used through a particular layer.

To control the output formats of the positional codewords, attributes POSFOR (positional code word format) are provided for PADD data elements:

DEPT

REGI

DRWG

SHEE

VIEW

LAYE

LIBY

SHLB

OVER

DRTMLB

DRTMPL

SHTMPL

These two attributes control the output format of the positional codewords that request the position of certain elements (for example, #POS, #P2POS, #PKNA^POSS, #PKTOP^POSE).
