Label Objects

Adds a General Label (GLAB) or Symbolic Label (SLAB) to a view.
There are two types of Label, General Labels (GLAB) and Symbolic Labels (SLAB). Their characteristics are as follows:

General Labels consist of text derived from the 3D model or free text.

Symbolic Labels are generated from templates (which can contain 2D primitives, including text), defined by a reference to a Symbol Template (SYTM).

The Select window allows you to select the required label template (GLAB) from the GLAB template folder.
Select the required template and click Select.
You are prompted to Specify attachment point or <Template>
Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or click to identify the label leader line attachment point.
You are then prompted to Select design element
Click to identify the design element to be labelled.
You are then prompted to Specify connection point or <Template>
Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or click to identify the position of the label text.
If the label is a symbolic label (SLAB) it is added to the drawing. If the label is a general label (GLAB), the Text Editor window displays. Refer to Add Text to Drawings for further information.
When you have input and formatted the text using the Text Editor window and clicked OK, the label is added to the drawing.
You are then prompted to Specify attachment point or <Finish>
The process can be repeated, allowing you to add multiple labels.
Input F at the prompt and press Enter to end the command.
Throughout the label creation process you can press ESC to cancel the command. Additional functionality is also available.

Template |
Press the down arrow key and select Template to select a different label template. |

Same As |
Press the down arrow key and select Same As to add a copy of a label. Refer to Add Copy of Label for further information. |

General |
Press the down arrow key and select General to add a label that consists of text derived from the 3D model or free text. |

Back |
Press the down arrow key and select Back to undo the last action. |
|
Finish |
Press the down arrow key and select Finish to end the command. |

The new GLAB OR SLAB element displays in the Draw Explorer.
