Utilities

The Utilities tab provides some additional features to modify the imported model.

Align Beams

Adjusts the justification line of GENSECs after model import. The adjust action follows the rules defined in the Justification Line Rule Definition window. The Adjust GENSEC Position while updating Pline check box, on the Settings tab, also affects this function.

Retrim Sections to Pline

The GENSECs are trimmed to the connecting Pline when the check box is selected.

Import Load

Reads the STD file and creates member and nodal loads for the imported model. To use this feature, the Save Logic Sections to file While Adjusting Path check box, on the Settings tab, must be selected when importing the structure model. Otherwise this function does not run.

Import Release

Reads the STD file and creates member release information for the imported model. To use this feature, the Save Logic Sections to file While Adjusting Path check box, on the Settings tab, must be selected when importing the structure model. Otherwise this function does not run.

Import Support

Reads the STD file and creates ENDATU elements at the bottom of columns in the imported model, support information is also added to the ENDATUs. To use this feature, the Save Logic Sections to file While Adjusting Path check box, on the Settings tab, must be selected when importing the structure model. Otherwise this function does not run.

Merge

Updates the model. Refer to Merge for further information.
