Representation Rules for Reference Grids

  • Last UpdatedApr 27, 2023

Reference Grid Line elements are drawn using the CLSTYLE and CLCOLO of the selected Style, and in hidden-line-removed VIEWs is generally subject to the Hidden Line Remove (HLR) process. However it is possible to remove them from the HLR process by use of the RRUL attribute NoHLRFlag. By default, this is FALSE and Grid Lines are subject to HLR, however by setting it TRUE they are not subject to HLR. The Grid Lines are then shown unobstructed by other items of the 3D model. Note that to obtain this functionality the RRUL must apply to the Reference Grid (REFGRD) elements and not to Grid Planes. Typically, the definition of the RRUL must therefore be: USE /GridStyle FOR ALL REFGRD.
