Modify General ADP View

Sets the general ADP view properties.

ADP views are modified using the Modify General ADP View window. By default, the Modify General ADP View window displays when an ADP view is created (refer to Create General ADP Views for further information).

The Modify General ADP View window allows you to define the drawing view based on general settings and limits imposed either by the drawlist or keyplan.

CE

Click to identify the currently selected view as the working element.

Function

The currently selected view function displays on the top part of the window.

Modify

Allows you to select a view function from a list of available view functions. Refer to Modify View Function for further information.

Defaults

Changing the defaults is a system administration task, some user defaults can be modified. Refer to Set ADP Defaults for further information.

General Settings

Drawlist

Select how the Drawlist is defined from the drop-down list. For example select Volume Defined to define the drawing using the values in the direction boxes at the bottom of the window.

Modify

Click to display the Drawlist Management window. Refer to Define View Contents for further information.

Style

Select a view style from the drop-down list to define the display of the view.

Type

Select a view type from the drop-down list. You can select from:

  • Universal Hidden Line

  • Global Hidden Line

  • Local Hidden Line

  • Modelled Wireline

  • Wireline Hidden Line

  • Wireline

Direction

Select a direction for the frame position from the drop-down list.

Automatic

Click to set the frame position automatically.

Cursor

Allows you to define the frame position using a cursor pick in the view. Refer to Define View Frame with Cursor for further information.

Limits

From Drawlist

Click to define the limits of the view from the Drawlist setting.

From Keyplan

Click to define the limits of the view from the selected keyplan.

Update Aids

Click to update the aids.

Matchlines

Select the check box to display match lines on the drawing view.

From

Input dimensional values in the From direction fields to define the limits of the view explicitly.

The direction can be defined in East, West, North, South, Up and Down directions using the drop-down lists.

Select the check box adjacent to the drop-down list to define the required direction.

To

Input dimensional values in the To direction fields to define the limits of the view explicitly.

The direction can be defined in East, West, North, South, Up and Down directions using the drop-down lists.

Select the check box adjacent to the drop-down list to define the required direction.

Scale

You can set the scale of the drawing in the view. The option buttons allow you to either select the scale from a drop-down list or input a scale value.

Select Metric from the drop-down list to scale the drawing using metric values. For example, 1/1.

Select Architectural from the drop-down list to scale the drawing using architectural values. For example, 1 1/2" = 1’-0".

Select Engineering from the drop-down list to scale the drawing using engineering values. For example, 1" = 10’-0".

Input a percentage value in the field to scale the drawing using a percentage factor. By default, the decimal field is changed to represent the scale factor.

Nearest

Click to display the complete drawing in the view. By default, Draw selects the nearest available scale factor.

Set Scale

Click to set the drawing scale according to the input values.

Tagging

Allows you to apply tagging to elements in the view. Refer to Automatic Tagging for further information.

Click to display the ADP Tagging window. Refer to ADP Tagging. for further information.

Schedules

Allows you to include schedules in the view. Refer to ADP Schedules for further information.

Attributes

Allows you to define attributes for the view. Refer to General ADP View Attributes for further information.

Update

Allows you to define the elements of the view to be updated. Refer to Update View for further information.

Click Apply to modify the ADP view or Cancel to discard any inputs and close the Modify General ADP View window. On completion of the creation process, the drawing view displays.
