Model Reference Check

  • Last UpdatedJan 23, 2023
  • 2 minute read

Checks that objects are properly associated with the model. An object is considered to be properly associated when it has an intelligent position.

To use the facility, select the adjacent Primitives, Labels and/or Dimensions toggle options as required to specify the types of objects in the drawing to be checked, then click Model Ref. Check.

Objects not properly associated with the model are highlighted as invalid (red).

Items that may require attention, for example, modified automatic dimension annotations, are highlighted as a caution (yellow).

Objects that are 100% properly associated are highlighted as valid (green).

Other items display as grey.

Note:
Labels with an unknown reference can display with green coloring, for example, when an associated model element has been deleted. In this case, close and reopen the sheet to display the unknown reference label with red coloring.

Click Model Ref. Check again to turn off checking. All objects display in their normal colours.

By default, a notification band is displayed at the top of the drawing canvas when model reference check mode is active.

Note:
Model reference check mode cannot be used if model invalid reference check mode is active.
