Revision Control

Records of drawings, as they are at a particular time, can be saved. These records are known as revisions. Revisions can subsequently be compared with each other or with the drawing in it’s current state.

The MDS Revision Control window allows you to define revision information, create and delete revisions.

Click to identify the currently selected element as the working element. |

Name |
Select from the drop-down list to define the revision. The drop-down list is empty until a revision is created. |

Revision |
Input a value in the field to define the revision. |
|
Description |
Input a revision description in the field. |
|
By |
Input a value in the field to identify the person that created the revision. |
|
Date |
Select a revision date from the drop-down lists. |
|
Checked |
Input a value in the field to identify the person that checked the revision. |
|
Approved |
Input a value in the field to identify the person that approved the revision. |

New Revision |
Click to create a new revision. |
|
Delete Revi |
Click to delete the currently selected revision. |
|
Clear |
Click to clear the By, Checked and Approved fields. |
Click Apply to update the revision information, the revision information displays on the drawing. Subsequent updates of drawings retain revision information.
Click Cancel to discard any changes and close the Revision Control window.
