Use the Spec Settings window to define the Profile GTYP, Trimming PLINE and Joint STYP elements to be included in the drop-down lists in the Spec Block Rows grid.

Note:
Some settings are available only for certain structural specification types. For example, Trimming PLINE and Joint STYP elements are not available for profile specifications, as the data is not used.

By default, the In Use Profile GTYPs grid is populated with to the preferred profiles, if these have been set up for the project, otherwise the grid is populated with the AVEVA steel catalog profiles. The Available grid is populated with all other profiles from the structural specifications in the project.

Add All

Adds all displayed element types from the Available grid to the In Use grid.

Add

Adds the currently selected element type from the Available grid to the In Use grid.

Remove

Removes the currently selected element type from the In Use grid (and moves it to the Available grid).

Set to Defaults

Discards any changes and populates the In Use grid with the default element types.

By default, the In Use Trimming PLINEs grid is populated with all the Trimming PLINE elements. The functionality to populate the Available grid and In Use grid is identical to the Profile GTYPs grid.

It is not possible to populate the Specific Type grid from the project as STYP elements are somewhat arbitrary. By default, the In Use Specific Types grid is populated with an out of the box list of STYP elements that correspond to the AVEVA steel catalog.

Input a value in the STYP field and click Add to add the element to the In Use grid.

Use Remove and Set to Defaults to otherwise modify the In Use grid.

Click OK to save the current settings and close the Spec Settings window. Settings are serialized for the current user.
