Schematic Explorer

Provides an easy to use graphical method of navigating in the Schematic World in the database.

In this explorer you can view the primary Schematic Group hierarchy. Below each schematic group, the items are further sub-grouped by Folders. Folders do not exist in the database, they are only a way to display items of the same type, together, and provide a better navigation and overview.

Above the navigation tree is a Filter box as well as a drop-down list where predefined filters can be selected. If the Filter box is used, the selected filter is applied to the explorer tree. Currently there are tree filters available, one for each discipline (Piping, HVAC, Electrical).

Click Search to search for items. Refer to Search for further information.

The Schematic Explorer features a context sensitive right-click menu that provides common commands.

Note:
The Schematic Explorer displays the entire contents of the database and not only the current drawing. Also, operations done through the explorer such as rename, only affects the database. To view such changes in an open drawing, you have to use the Refresh command.
