Global Daemon

The Global daemon (sometimes referred to as the ADMIN daemon) is supplied with the Global product, in the default install folder. The installation defaults to WCF version of Global. WCF has some dependencies and these are described in the Installation Guide and the AVEVA Global WCF Configuration Guide.

Installing the Global daemon is described in the , configuring and starting the daemon is de-scribed in the AVEVA Global User Guide. There must be one Global daemon running for each Project at a Location.

Note:
The user must plan which protocol to use before implementing a Global project, including firewall and security considerations.
